FiveM Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install and configure your purchase quickly and safely.
Step-by-Step
Server
For our cars to work properly, it is suggested to be on the following FiveM Builds: 1604, 2060, 2189, 2372, 2545, 2612, 2628, 2699, 2802, 2944, 3095, 3258, 3323, 3407, 3442, 3504, 3570, 3586.
Client
Every user will need to install the SirenSetting Limit Adjuster script. If they do not do so they will not see the lights properly for 32 siren vehicles.
Download the zip from your download manager, then once the file is downloaded, open the zip file with a program like WinRar. Once you open the download you will see the files setup like this:
You can ignore the "Templates" folder for now, those are for if you want to get custom liveries made for the model.
First, before we do anything with our downloaded files we need to make our FiveM reesource. To start this, create a new folder in your resources folder and named it whatever you want but only include 0-9, A-Z, do not include any spaces or any special characters.
Next, inside this new folder, create a folder called "stream", and a folder called "data". It should look like this:
Next, we need to make our fxmanifest.lua, this can be copied over from another resource if the resource is setup the same as we are setting it up here, or you can go here. Copy this fxmanifest.lua file, go back to the folder we were working on, right click, New -> Text Document.
Clear out everything, and put "fxmanifest.lua"
Choose "Yes" if asked
Open the file that we just created, and paste the pastebin contents in this new file. Save the file and our fivem resource is ready for our model files. Our resource should look like this:
Now that we have our FiveM resource ready to upload our model files, we need to grab our files from our "Model" folder in the zip from our website, and those files need to go in the "stream" folder of our new resource. The "Metas" files needs to go in our "data" folder of our new resource. It should look like this:
If your install includes a "ulc.lua" file, this means it comes setup to work with ULC a script made to make toggling lighting features easier. You can download ULC here if you don't have it already. If the model you downloaded comes with a ulc.lua file and you want to use the features put the ulc.lua file in the root of the resource that we made. Like this:
After you do that, and install ULC, go to the ULC config, and find this section:
ExternalVehResources = {
"resource_name",
"resource_name",
"resource_name",
"resource_name",
},
To make sure ULC is reading the ULC.lua file in the resource, you must put your resource name in the ULC config, in the section above.
You are done! Congrats once you restart your server you should have a working model.
